About the Foundation
The Westmorelite Foundation, Inc. is a U.S.-registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is currently in the process of establishing its Jamaican arm. For decades, the Jackson Family has given back to the parish through civic engagement, public service, and numerous philanthropic initiatives aimed at uplifting local communities in Westmoreland. The devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa served as a powerful reminder of both the vulnerability and resilience of Westmoreland’s people. In its wake, the Jackson family was inspired to formalize their ongoing efforts by establishing a U.S.-based charitable foundation, one that could rally the Jamaican diaspora and friends of Jamaica to unite in purposeful action. Through transparent partnerships, grassroots engagement, and a steadfast commitment to long-term impact, The Westmorelite Foundation works to deliver disaster relief, educational support, faith-based community initiatives, and sustainable development programs that strengthen lives and restore hope. Our mission is simple but far-reaching: To strengthen resilience, expand opportunity, and drive sustainable development by uplifting the people of Westmoreland and beyond.
Our Mission
Founded to uplift Westmoreland and underserved communities across Jamaica, the Foundation is committed to strengthening resilience, expanding opportunity, and driving sustainable development through programs and support initiatives that meet community needs.
Our work focuses on recovery, education, healthcare, food security, community development, economic empowerment, and disaster relief, with faith, compassion, and service to others at the heart of everything we do. Together with local partners and the Jamaican diaspora, we are building pathways to brighter futures and helping Westmoreland rise stronger, together.
